First editions, signed copies, Folio Society and honest everyday readers — picked one at a time from libraries and auctions across the North East. Nothing foxed, nothing torn, nothing that stinks of damp.
“Every book on this stall is one I’d keep. Nee rubbish.”
Stock comes from personal libraries, auctions and house sales across the North East. Each book is checked by hand: if it’s foxed, torn or stinks of damp, it doesn’t make the stall.
Prices sit at the fair end on purpose. Good books should get read, not laminated.

Tynemouth Market, under the glass roof of the Metro station. Indoors — wet days I’m still there.
